New Spinome Puppy

Well, as you have probably guessed, I am posting these pictures of these pups because one of them will be joining our family at the end of March. These are Italian Spinome dogs. My dad first introduced us to this breed a few years ago, when bought his dog, Sophie. They are fairly rare in America. In fact, there are only about 200 of them born each year. They are wonderful hunters and great family dogs as well. My dad gave us the name of his breeder last week. As it turned out, she had just had a litter of 9 puppies two days before we called. The puppies were all spoken for until the morning I called. One person who had reserved a female apparently bought another dog. We discussed it as a family and called her the next day to tell her we would love the available pup. Jessi gets to name this one, since Blake named "Barney" and Aly named "Daisy." She and Grandpa Jud have been discussing names. Last I heard, we might have a little "Ruby Jane" in our home. We'll just have to wait and see if that is their final decision.
